La Tradicion Cubana Wrapper: Ecudorian Binder: Honduran Filler: Dominican Made In: Dominican Republic Size: 5x50 Robusto Construction & Appearance: Construction is absolutely phenomenal on this cigar. A nicely done triple cap and the cigar is virtually seamless. The color of the wrapper is a darker blonde color and the band is a traditional Cuban looking band. Smoking Characteristic: This cigar has a nice draw, an excellent burn line, and the ash was compact for the most part, but did have a bit of flowering here and there. Overall this cigar smokes like a champ. The body of the cigar is mild to medium. The strength is defiantly mild. Flavors: Right off the bat you are greeted by complex rich flavors of sweet cedar, butter, cream, vanilla, and some roasted peanuts on the finish. The finish is long and coats your palate with a sweet peppery tingle that is very pleasant and by no means over done. In the second third the sweetness of the cigar backs down a bit and gives way to a nice leathery component. In the final third the flavors pick up in intensity and really make a statement. Final Thoughts: What a great mild to medium bodied cigar. The cigar has nice pronounced flavors that are easily detectable but it is sill mild to medium on the palate. I think this is a cigar that not only mild cigar smokers will like, but I also think it has enough flavor to satisfy a full bodied cigar smoker. For the price, you cannot go wrong with this cigar.
